Our Story

LadyBuQ Art was created from passion, courage… and the sound of a hammer.
This isn’t a big factory brand. It’s a story that began in a small room, with one sewing machine and a big dream.

But really – the passion was always there.

Darek’s grandfather was a shoemaker, and his craftsmanship – the scent of real leather, the precision, the handmade details – left a lasting impression.
My mother was a seamstress, and the hum of a sewing machine was part of my everyday life from an early age.

We’ve always been fascinated by handmade things created from natural materials – especially genuine leather that ages with grace and becomes even more beautiful over time.

The first designs came to life while I was pregnant, still working full-time in a large international company.
Our home was filled with the sound of stitching and tapping tools – our son grew up hearing it every day.

Many people told us it wouldn’t work.
But we believed that passion, perseverance, and heart are enough to create something truly special.

One day, Darek heard a quote on the radio: “Do what you love.”
And that’s how it all began.

We had one machine – and even the mechanic said it wasn’t suitable for leather.
Yet on that very machine, we created the first LadyBuQ handbag.

Why LadyBuQ?

Because while designing that very first bag, our window was full of colorful ladybugs.
It felt like a sign.
LadyBuQ – inspired by the ladybug – a symbol of luck and courage.

Our very first bags went to customers in the USA – and customers came back for more.

Eventually, we made a life-changing decision:
We went all in.
We left our jobs and fully committed ourselves to the brand we had built – our small, vibrant workshop.

Today, we are proud to say that our designs have been showcased at Berlin Fashion Week, and we received a distinction from the Polish Academy of Fashion in Poznań.
